What the Supporters’ Club promises, it delivers. We promise you four full colour magazines throughout the season, and the final issue for the season 2009/2010 has been delivered and gobbled up by all our members for over two weeks now. The cover depicts those United players who participated (or should have) in the recent World Cup finals in South Africa – unfortunately few of them had much to smile about, except possibly our new signing from Mexico who definitely left a good impression.

Issue 4 comprises:

Editorial: “A point to consider” is the title, the “point” of course being that one point that separated us from Premiership winners Chelsea at the end of May….

Our Club’s news: Chris Grech outlines what went on in the Club in April and May: visits by the Murphy family, the Life Cycle cyclists and the Open Day.

Action Replay:  A full report on our weekly Radio Programme, now having a break during the summer months of course. But it will be back…..

Teddy’s Corner:  Teddy ruefully reflects on the happenings of the previous season and the prospects for the future.

Stretford End Malta – a short look at the adventures of our 5 a side team by Darren Grech.

One piece to complete the Puzzle:  Our special correspondent Mark Strijbosch (yes, he’s half Dutch) gives his thoughts on what United need next season to continue to be a driving force.

Mixed Mancunian Platter:  Chef Karm Galea serves up his customary interesting Red plate, an appetizing mixture indeed!

A special article written by United’s fitness coach Tony Strudwick, who was in Malta recently on holiday, about his role at the Club and how the players’ fitness is taken care of to the benefit (hopefully) of the Club. Thanks a lot Tony, for your contribution.

A Look at the Plusses, by Matt Done – a look at heartening memories that United fans can take with them from 2009/2010.

Random Red Thoughts – the Editor reflects upon the end of the past season, what went wrong, the strengths and the deficiencies United showed last season.

Club Membership: a look at our Club’s membership trends, what the Club offers its members, and the hope that numbers can always increase.

We Will raise the Roof Again – by Julian Tabone. Our one common thought and hope for next season – that the success of the last 3 seasons (before this one) can be repeated!

A picture of most of those who went on the frustrating Chelsea Tour is featured on Page 25…

James Handyside’s  detailed account of all that happened at United between late March and the end of the season is featured next – no one fact is omitted, that’s for sure.

A new series by Club Founder John Calleja – Highlights in English Football History – begins in this issue. Many facts you never knew about.

The final List of players’ appearances for the 09/10 season closes this issue.

Another great edition of the ‘Echoes’, to take with you on the beach! Have a great summer, and the sooner the new season starts, the better. Did someone mentioned the World Cup?
